Choosing and Using Dive Computers is the scuba diving DVD for anyone who is interested in purchasing a dive computer, or wants a better understanding of how to use the dive computer they already own. This entertaining and exciting video explains the features of dive computers and how they work, with different models of computers shown under actual field conditions. No specific models or brands of dive computers are endorsed, but the best features of each model appear in the program.The program was directed and shot by Steve Barsky of Hammerhead Video and produced by Kristine Barsky. It includes dive computers from Oceanic, AquaLung/Suunto, Cochran Consulting, DiveRite, and Scubapro/Uwatec.
The video is an all region DVD that was shot in standard definition, full screen format. It will also play in most personal computers equipped with a DVD player.

As technology advances, choosing the dive computer that fits our needs can be a hassle. As a diving educator obtaining several credentials, I find this recent release from Hammerhead Press, Choosing and Using Dive Computers, easy to understand and all of the most important points about dive computers are covered. This DVD clearly provided simple but straight-forward information on selecting the right dive computer.
As a certified dive equipment repair technician, I also appreciated the care information included as a chapter. The section addressing the basic care and maintenance of dive computers definitely increases awareness in divers to help cut repair cost.
This DVD is an excellent source for anyone who is considering purchasing a dive computer and wants to know more about dive computers.
